Mrs. Mansouri receives special envoy for Sahel region at Norwegian Foreign Affairs ministry

The secretary of State to the minister of Foreign Affairs, for African Affairs, Bakhta Selma Mansouri, received Monday in Algiers the special envoy for the Sahel region at the Norwegian ministry of Foreign Affairs, Knut Langeland.

During the meeting, focused on the ways to boost joint cooperation to back the efforts to establish stability and achieve development in the Sahel region, both sides mentioned security challenges, climate change and the humanitarian issues facing the region as well as sustainable development.

The importance to enhance international coordination to help Sahel countries deal with those multidimensional challenges was also stressed.
