Mr.Attaf receives a telephone call from his Iranian counterpart

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received Monday a phone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Abbas Araghchi.

During the call, the Minister of State was briefed by his Iranian counterpart on developments in the situation stemming from Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the impact of this aggression on regional security and stability.

For his part, Attaf reaffirmed Algeria’s standing which, while condemning this aggression, stresses the imperative of enabling the UN Security Council to shoulder its responsibilities in ensuring respect for international law and UN Charter principles to halt Israeli attacks on several fronts that have thrown the entire region into a spiral of violence, insecurity and instability.
