Mr. Chaib takes part in a seminar on investment in Algeria

The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib participated, in company of the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, Noureddine Ouadah, via videoconference, in a meeting under the theme “Investing in Algeria,” organized by the Algerian consulate general in Lille.

In this respect, Chaib emphasized the importance attached by the Algerian State to members of the community abroad, as an essential component of national society, which receives special attention from the country’s highest authorities, thanks to the numerous measures taken in recent years in their favor to strengthen their ties with the homeland and their participation in various areas of development.

Chaib also reviewed the measures and policies adopted by the State to enhance the role of the national community abroad in the national development process and to encourage their investment initiatives in Algeria.

In this regard, he underscored that “these activities organized by the ministry in collaboration with the relevant ministerial departments are part of the State’s commitment to maintaining continuous and effective communication with members of the diaspora and promoting the various incentive and encouragement measures dedicated to them.

For his part, Noureddine Ouadah praised the paramount importance his sector attaches to project initiators among members of our community abroad, recalling that the Algerian diaspora is a key partner for the start-up sector through its contribution to numerous successful projects and by sharing expertise acquired in various related fields.

For their part, members of the community seized this opportunity to raise their concerns regarding the implementation of their projects and ideas in their homeland, while also welcoming the holding of these periodic meetings organized by the Secretariat of State, mirroring the efforts of state institutions aimed at involving the children of the community in the economic dynamism our country is experiencing.
