State Secretary Chaib holds talks in Tunis with Tunisian counterpart
The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, held talks with his Tunisian counterpart, the Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ben Ayed, as part of his official visit to Tunisia.
During this meeting, the two parties hailed the depth of the fraternal and cooperative relations between Algeria and Tunisia, and the remarkable development characterising cooperation in all fields, as part of the directives of both countries’ presidents.
The two parties also explored ways to promote cooperation mechanisms regarding the situation of communities from both countries, aiming to align with the dynamics of bilateral relations.
Welcoming the conclusions of the last session of the Joint Consular, Social and Land Commission, held last month in Tunisia, the two parties agreed on the need to make more efforts to reach concrete solutions for certain pending issues, through the adoption of a roadmap following a precise schedule in anticipation of upcoming bilateral deadlines.
