Mr. Attaf receives the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa

Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received on Thursday, at the ministry headquarters, Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa, Ronald Lamola, who is making an official visit to Algeria.

The meeting focused on various aspects of the strategic partnership between Algeria and South Africa and the prospects for its strengthening and development, in line with the ambitious objectives set by the leaders of the two countries, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his counterpart, President Cyril Ramaphosa, during their talks in Algiers last December.

In this regard, both parties agreed to finalize the activation of bilateral cooperation mechanisms, notably by holding the first session of the evaluation and monitoring mechanism and revitalizing the joint business council.

Both parties also welcomed the traditions of political consultation existing between the two countries and the level of bilateral coordination in multilateral forums in support of just causes in Africa and worldwide.
