Minister of State Attaf holds discussions with AU Commissioner for Political Affairs, Security

The minister of State, minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held Sunday, in Oran, bilateral discussions with the African Union (AU) Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, Bankole Adeoye.

The meeting, held in Oran (432-km west of Algeria) on the sidelines of the 11th High-Level Seminar on Peace and Security in Africa, was dedicated to examine cooperation between Algeria and the African Union in the fields relating to peace and security.

The meeting also shed light on Algeria's support to African institutions it hosts, such as the African Centre for Studies and Research on Terrorism (ACSRT) and the African Union Police Cooperation Mechanism (AFRIPOL).
