Communiqué of the Ministry - Resumption of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran

Algeria welcomes the resumption of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran, with the reopening of the embassies of both countries in the coming weeks.

Algeria also expresses its satisfaction on the effective conduct of talks between the two brotherly countries through the intermediary of the People's Republic of China.

This important agreement will enable the two countries and the two brotherly peoples to strengthen relations of cooperation and solidarity within the framework of respect for the principles stipulated in the United Nations Charter and to resolve disputes by dialogue, which will contribute to enhancing peace and security in the region and in the world.
