Genocide in the Gaza Strip Algeria asserts to the Security Council that "the era of impunity is irreversibly over".

At Wednesday's Security Council meeting on provisional measures decided by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) concerning the Zionist war on the Palestinian people, Algeria stressed the importance of accountability to protect future generations from the atrocities currently being committed in Gaza, calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
At the start of his address, Algeria’s Representative to the United Nations (UN) to New York, Amar Bendjema quoted the statement of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, contained in his message on the occasion of the 11 December 1960 events, in which he had said that “those behind the acts of genocide in Gaza would be recorded in history as war criminals and enemies of life and humanity.”
He emphasized “the historic nature of the ICJ's ruling,” declaring an end to “the era of impunity for the Israeli occupation.”
"The United Nations and the international community have pledged to let no criminal escape punishment, and the Israeli occupation must be no exception to this rule,” he continued.
Algeria's UN Representative insisted that “Israel must immediately comply with the provisional measures mandated by the ICJ to safeguard the Palestinian people from genocide.”
He called on the international community to “ensure Israel's commitment to these measures, emphasizing that they can only be implemented through an immediate ceasefire. He urged anyone opposing these measures to question their conscience and reassess their humanity.”
He also stressed that the provisional measures demanded by the ICJ must be applied to protect the Palestinian people from the genocide they are suffering, asserting that the Zionist entity, the occupying power, "must immediately comply with the measures decided by the ICJ".
Bendjama asserted that they "can only be implemented by a ceasefire and an immediate cessation of attacks,” calling on "opponents to question themselves and their conscience and their humanity.”
"Justice has rendered its verdict, and all those who believe in a World Order based on law must act to implement the provisional measures decided by the ICJ", stressed the Algerian diplomat.
