Mrs Mansouri received by President of the Republic of South Sudan

Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of African Affairs, Bakhta Selma Mansouri, in her capacity as a special envoy of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, was received by President of the Republic of South Sudan, a brotherly country, Salva Kiir, during her visit to Juba (South Sudan).

During this meeting, the Secretary of State handed over a letter from President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to his South Sudanese counterpart, through which she conveyed his fraternal greetings and expressed his strong willingness to strengthen bilateral cooperation and contribute to achieving security and development in South Sudan.

For his part, President Salva Kiir expressed his deep gratitude for this important visit, which reflects the depth of the bonds of friendship and solidarity between the two countries.

In this regard, he praised Algeria’s positive role at the African level, particularly its consistent support for the people of South Sudan.

Furthermore, the meeting allowed both parties to address bilateral relations between Algeria and South Sudan and discuss ways to strengthen them to promote cooperation in various fields.
