Mr.Attaf receives the General Secretary of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum

Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs Ahmed Attaf received on Wednesday, at the ministry’s headquarters, the Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), Mohamed Hamel.

This meeting provided an opportunity to discuss ways to boost cooperation and coordination on the key issues and topics on the Gas Exporting Countries Forum’s agenda, as part of implementing the important conclusions of the 7th Summit of Heads of State and Government, held in March 2024 in Algiers.

The two parties also addressed preparations for upcoming events and examined the mechanisms to leverage them to bolster the role of natural gas in achieving sustainable development and the global energy transition.
