Mr Chaib joins our community in celebrating Knowledge Day

Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, participated on Wednesday, via videoconference, in an event organized by the Algerian Consulate in Bobigny (France) to mark Knowledge Day, celebrated annually on April 16, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs.

In his speech, the Secretary of State highlighted "the significance of this national day, which celebrates knowledge and scholars while calling for the preservation of our rich and diverse cultural heritage.

Chaib further emphasized the importance of scientific, linguistic, and cultural dimensions in the programs designed for members of national community abroad, by responding to their expectations and their attachment to Algerian identity.

He further commended the growing number of highly skilled researchers and experts within the Algerian diaspora, who have strongly contributed to the development of national economy. 

Reaffirming the government’s commitment, he said that the country’s highest authorities are keen to support and encourage this momentum.
