Mr. Attaf receives a phone call from his Jordanian counterpart

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received Thursday a phone call from Ayman Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, a brotherly counrtnation.

During the meeting, the two ministers discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip following the resumption of Israeli aggression against the brotherly Palestinian people.

The ministers expressed deep concern over the breakdown of efforts aimed at strengthening the ceasefire and addressing the urgent humanitarian and reconstruction needs of the Palestinian people, which jeopardizes prospects for a lasting and just resolution to the Palestinian question.

Both parties agreed to enhance contacts and coordination on the Palestinian cause and other issues of mutual interest within the framework of organizations they jointly participate in, notably the Arab League.
