Mr. Attaf holds phone calls with his counterparts from Tunisia, Mauritania and Libya
The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held telephone conversations on Thursday with his counterparts from the Republic of Tunisia, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, and Libya.
The State Minister extended his New Year’s greetings to his counterparts, wishing the peoples of the Maghreb region health, well-being, and further prosperity, progress, and complementarity.
The discussions provided an opportunity to present the action plan of Algeria’s presidential mandate in the United Nations (UN) Security Council during the month of January and to consult on several political issues of common interest.
On this occasion, the Foreign Ministers of the brotherly Maghreb countries exchanged New Year’s wishes with the State Minister and expressed full support for Algeria during its presidency of the Security Council, wishing them full success in this noble mission in the service of Arab and African causes, and peace and security in the world.
They also applauded Algeria’s efforts in the Security Council, primarily in the current international situation marked by intense polarizations and conflicts
