Mr Attaf held talks with the Secretary-General of the United Nations

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf held on Saturday, in New York, talks with the Secretary-General (SG) of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, as part of his participation in the high-level segment of the General Assembly (GA) of the UN.

The meeting provided an opportunity to review the UN’s growing challenges and exchange views on the prospects of boosting the international multilateral action system to address the issues of peace and development in the world.

Additionally, the two parties also addressed "the current international and regional situation, notably the latest developments in the Palestinian cause, the decolonization process in Western Sahara, and the evolving situation in the Sahel-Sahara region.
