Minister ATTAF holds talks with his counterpart from the Republic of Equatorial Guinea
Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ahmed Attaf held Thursday talks, in Oyala, with his Equatoguinean counterpart, Simeón Oyono Esono Angüe, before the start of the preparatory ministerial meeting of the 5th African Union (AU) Summit of the Group of Ten on the reform of the Security Council.
In this respect, the two parties stressed the importance of this African Summit given the current international and regional situation, whose repercussions highlight once again the relevance of Africa’s common stance calling for the reform of the Security Council and demanding to rectify the historical injustice towards the African continent.
Attaf and his counterpart of Equatorial Guinea also discussed the relations of cooperation between the two countries and ways to bolster them, particularly in energy and training.
In this regard, they further agreed upon strengthening the legal framework of the bilateral relations through the upcoming conclusion of an agreement on the establishment of a joint commission on economic cooperation.
