M. Attaf receives Cameroonian counterpart
The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received on Saturday at the headquarters of the ministry, the Minister of External Relations of Cameroon, Lejeune Mbella Mbella, who is paying an official visit to Algeria.
The two parties held bilateral one-on-one talks followed by an expanded working session, dedicated to examining the relations of brotherhood, cooperation, and solidarity that unite the two countries, but also the means to raise them to higher levels, in accordance with the directives of the two countries’ leaders, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his brother, President Paul Biya.
The two parties also emphasized the need to strengthen the tradition of bilateral consultation, particularly regarding developments of the situation in the spheres to which both countries belong and issues of peace, security and development in Africa, while insisting on strengthening coordination within the United Nations, as part of Algeria’s mandate as a non-permanent member of the Security Council and Cameroon’s presidency of the UN General Assembly.
