The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Lounes Magramane, co-chaired Thursday, at the headquarters of the ministry, with the deputy minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of European Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, Alexandra Papadopoulou, the 5th session of the Algerian-Greek political consultations.

This session provided an opportunity to review the state of bilateral relations and examine ways to strengthen and develop them, notably through programming the third session of the Joint Commission for Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, as well as exploiting available opportunities in both countries in various fields, including investment promotion, trade, culture, energy, tourism, transport, services and health.

The consultations also focused on regional and international issues of common interest, notably the Palestinian and Sahrawi causes, as well as developments in Libya and the Sahel region, along with other regional issues.

In this respect, both parties expressed a convergence of views on current challenges and the need to support international efforts aimed at achieving a lasting settlement of these crises,” concluded the communiqué.
