Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs- Syria 08/12/2024

Algeria closely follows the recent developments of the situation and the rapidly evolving changes in the Arab Republic of Syria. It calls for unity and peace among all Syrian parties to preserve the country’s security and stability and the unity and integrity of its territory.

Algeria reaffirms its support for the brotherly Syrian people with whom the Algerian people share luminous pages of a common history founded on solidarity and mutual aid. 

Algeria also calls for dialogue between all Syrians, and invites to give precedence to sisterly Syria’s higher interests, preserve the country’s wealth and resources, and look to the future to build a unifying country with institutions born of the will of the Syrian people, far from foreign interference.
